News rarely arrives as one complete picture. BeBriefed brings reporting from multiple publishers together and turns it into concise briefings that explain what happened, why it matters and what sits behind the headline.

How it works

BeBriefed groups coverage of the same event, compares what those sources report and produces one concise explanation. The original reporting remains linked so readers can inspect it directly.

What gets published

Briefings are published only when there is enough attributable reporting from independent sources to support a useful account. When the available evidence is too thin, publication is deferred.

Why it exists

BeBriefed is an independent learning project by Abdulrahman Hirsi, an AI and Computer Science student. It explores how AI can make current affairs easier to understand without hiding uncertainty or where the information came from.

Where AI fits

AI helps organise and explain the reporting by comparing collected sources. It can still make mistakes, so sources remain visible and important information should be checked against the original articles. BeBriefed does not produce original journalism.

Current limitations

BeBriefed explains recent reporting rather than providing breaking or minute-by-minute coverage. New reporting may take time to be collected, grouped and turned into a grounded briefing.

Briefings are based on the article information BeBriefed has collected, which may be incomplete or change as a story develops. A concise briefing cannot replace the depth of the original reporting, and uncertainty should remain visible rather than being filled with guesses.

BeBriefed is continuing to improve how it selects important stories, explains context and makes the evidence behind each briefing easier to inspect.
