1. About BeBriefed

BeBriefed is an independent learning project created by Abdulrahman Hirsi. It brings together third-party news reporting about the same event and uses AI to produce concise, source-grounded briefings. BeBriefed does not employ journalists and does not produce original reporting.

2. Using BeBriefed

By using BeBriefed, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You may use the public site for lawful, personal and informational purposes.

3. AI-generated briefings

Briefings are generated with AI from reporting collected by BeBriefed. Although grounding checks are used, a briefing may be incomplete, inaccurate or out of date. Use the linked original reporting to check important information. BeBriefed is not a substitute for professional legal, financial, medical or other specialist advice.

4. Third-party reporting and links

Articles, headlines and other publisher material belong to their respective owners. BeBriefed does not claim ownership of third-party reporting. Links to external sites are provided for attribution and further reading; those sites have their own terms and privacy practices, and a link does not mean BeBriefed endorses everything on that site.

5. News data and licensing

The availability of reporting may depend on news-data providers and publisher permissions. BeBriefed may remove or restrict material to comply with applicable rights, licences or provider terms. These Terms do not grant you permission to republish third-party material.

6. Acceptable use

You must not misuse BeBriefed. In particular, you must not:

• break the law or infringe another person’s rights;
• interfere with the service, its security or its normal operation;
• attempt to bypass access controls or probe the service for vulnerabilities without permission;
• scrape or send automated requests at a volume that disrupts the service; or
• present a BeBriefed briefing as original reporting or remove its source attribution.

7. BeBriefed material

The BeBriefed name, branding, interface and original site material are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. You may access them only as needed to use the service under these Terms. Rights in third-party reporting remain with the relevant publishers and authors.

8. Beta service and availability

BeBriefed is in beta. Features, briefings and availability may change, and the service may be interrupted. Briefings may be corrected, replaced or withdrawn. BeBriefed does not promise that every story will be covered, that every briefing will be updated indefinitely or that an uninterrupted archive will always be available.

9. Limitations of liability

BeBriefed takes reasonable steps to ground briefings in their cited sources but does not guarantee that the service or its content will always be accurate, complete, current or available. To the extent permitted by law, BeBriefed is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service, reliance on a briefing or use of a third-party site. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

11. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated as BeBriefed develops. The date at the top of this page will change when a new version is published. Material changes will be made clear where reasonably possible.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
